For the third year in a row, Martinique will hold its own Biennale Internationale d’Art Contemporain (BIAC). Rent a car and discover the program of the BIAC 2015, in Le Marin.
Caribbean islands are famous for their enchanting beaches, beautiful landscapes, their gastronomy, their music and lifestyle... But Caribbean contemporary art is still rather unknown. However, it is an important part of Caribbean culture and this is why Martinique organizes its own Biennale Internationale d’Art Contemporain (or «BIAC»).
Martinique’s BIAC 2015 will take place in the town Le Marin from Thursday, November 26th till Sunday, November 29th 2015. This year’s theme is «Objects, Rituals and Contemporary Arts», with sacred drums as main objects of focus. Le Marin’s BIAC 2015 will welcome artists from all over the world. Installations, activities and performances are planned in the whole town and an expo village of 1000sqm will be installed along the town’s sea front. Painting, photography, sculpture, street art... all types of art will be exhibited.
