In Martinique, you can’t escape the “zouk”. This musical genre plays on all local radios, everyone dances “zouk” and special “zouk” parties are regularly organized everywhere on the island. In fact, a huge event is taking place in the next couple of days. The concert is named ‘Le Grand Zouk du Monde’, and it will be at Pierre Aliker Stadium in Fort-de-France on June 4th, 2016 at 8 pm.
Le Grand Zouk du Monde will offer 3.5 hours of live concerts and another 3.5 hours of DJ music. Live concerts will be given by the band La Bande in Pipo, the group Kwaxikolor and six other artists famous in the world of zouk: Perle Lama, E-Sy Kennenga, Pascal Vallot, Mc Janik, Riddla, and JM Jean-Louis. But Le Grand Zouk du Monde is not only a succession of concerts; it is mostly a dancing event. A huge dance floor will be installed at Pierre Aliker Stadium to allow everyone to shake it, as they should.
