Exhibition Dé-construction of Sébastien Mehal

After Abel Barroso’s Une île à l’étranger, the art center of Habitation Clément presents the exhibition “Dé-construction” (Un-building) signed Sébastien Mehal. Discover this cultural event and where to rent a car to get there.

Organized by the Clément Foundation (dedicated to contemporary art), Sébastien Mehal’s Dé-construction exhibition is currently held in Case Leo inside Habitation Clément.

After architecture school and getting a degree at the School of Audiovisual Production in Paris, Sébastien Mehal decided to share his raw universe with the world. Paintings, serigraphs, sculptures… the artworks of “Dé-construction” are turned around an “emblem”: a light bulb. The obsession for this everyday object, the artist has had it since childhood, during which he lived in Fort-de-France, facing the sparkling hills of Trénelle and Didier. “I was wondering what lives were lit by those light bulbs that appeared between doors and windows”, he explains.

The Dé-construction exhibition is up until May 31st, 2015 and is open every day (without interruption, including on holidays) from 9am to 6pm.
